Remember when Justin Timberlake pledged his allegiance to Tom Ford as he began the media blitz for The 20/20 Experience? Well, those days are long gone, so it seems. Even JT isn’t immune to the scorching effects of the heat wave plaguing North America right now. And as he and Jay Z (no hyphen, please!) launched their co-headlining tour, Legends of Summer, he ditched the suit and tie act and went for a casual approach.
Whether it’s because of the extreme temperatures or just the fact that the singer is jumping around and performing for two hours on the regular, we’re not mad at Timberlake for parting ways with his more formal look. Mostly because the T-shirts he’s chosen look really damn good, nicely balancing simplicity with a little sartorial swagger, while providing us with a welcome reminder of how far we’ve come since the more-is-more, Ed Hardy-style graphic tees of yore.
If you want to emulate Timbelake’s look, we can help you out on that front. The shirt on the left is from Alexander Wang, and the one on the right comes courtesy of AllSaints. The former is on sale for $300 (down from $625) while the latter is only $65. Easy enough, right?
